Biomechanics

Biomechanics is the science of movement of a living body, including how muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments work together to move. As part of your initial adjustment at Newtown Chiropractic Center, we will perform a cursory biomechanics evaluation in which we will examine your resting posture. This exam will provide insight into whether or not your biomechanics are off. For example, a patient suffering from pronation of the right foot may have a correlating deviation of the spine and anterior pelvic tilt, causing a range of posture problems. Examining biomechanics will also help Dr. Py determine if you have a range of motion issues.

Biophysics

Biophysics is the science of understanding how the molecules of life are made, how different parts of a cell move and function, and how complex systems in our bodies, such as the brain, circulation, and immune system work.

Elite chiropractors use Chiropractic BioPhysics or CBP, to treat their patients. CBP is a highly advanced, scientific, and proven chiropractic technique that corrects and restores your spine to alignment, alleviating pain and discomfort at its source. The CBP technique uses biology, physiology, physics, geometry, and anatomy to identify the root cause of the pain, discomfort, loss of mobility, and altered health you may be struggling with and determine a treatment that is based on scientific and chiropractic principles.

CBP begins with a full examination of your posture, spinal alignment, and function. Our chiropractor may also order imaging tests such as x-rays to identify the exact cause of your spinal misalignment. From there, we will create a carefully planned series of adjustments, exercises, and a spinal remodeling program to help you live a life free from pain.

Additional steps in the diagnosis and treatment process may include:

  • Digital posture analysis
  • Bilateral weight distribution analysis
  • Methodical spinal remodeling
  • Computerized spinal decompression
  • Personalized maintenance plan
  • Mirror-image postural adjustments
